The Courtney Blog

Recently I feel like this has become the Courtney health summary blog, but it is the easiest way to keep all who care about us updated. Last night, or rather early this morning Courtney had a febrile seizure. She woke me up around 2:45am because she was crying in her crib, so I went up and got her and she had a fever so I brought her down and was trying to calm her down when she started convulsing. It scared the daylights out of me and so after some Tylenol and a phone call to the doctor's office I took her to the ER while Dustin stayed home with Zack. They ran a TON of tests on her (head CT, chest x-ray, CBC, urine analysis, lumbar puncture) and luckily they all came back normal. We were very relieved. She does however have an ear infection, which I'll take any day over any serious infection. So they gave her some IV antibiotics and sent us home. It was quite a crazy morning and after all of that Courtney is doing quite well. I think she may be a little sore in her back, but nothing a little Motrin can't handle! We got home around 9:30 this morning and have been going ever since. I think my pillow will be a very welcomed landing place tonight! And so it goes this little journey called motherhood, its a roller coaster ride...
