Soccer what???

Zack started soccer this fall. It's his very first team sport to play and he's really enjoyed it for the most part. The reason it's taken me so long to blog about it, or even dare to take the camera to the games, is because Zack wasn't a big fan of soccer at first. He would whine when it was time for practice and at his very first game, he stood out on the field and cried and cried and cried (I couldn't believe it was MY kid doing that!) He has made BIG strides since then and now runs around with the pack of kids surrounding the soccer ball and has a great time. He's even made a couple of new friends on the team. I still am not convinced he fully understands the concept of soccer, but he has fun, and that is what we tell him is most important! He mostly stays on the outside of the pack and will strike a "He-man" like pose every now and then just to intimidate the other boys I guess?! It is hilarious. He is about a head shorter than most the other kids, but that doesn't stop him at all. I love that Zack is now old enough to start participating in sports. It gives us something fun to do on Saturdays as a family and gives Zack a great place to release his super hero energy!
