Busy Weekend
This past weekend was certainly a whirlwind of activities. On Friday after Dust got off work, we drove up to SLC for a jammed packed Saturday! It started off with a baby shower we threw for my sister in law who is expecting their first baby next month. My other sister in law, Steph put most of it together. I was just there mostly for back up support! So many fun family members came and it was great to see everyone. During the shower my parents took the kids to see "Kung Fu Panda". I'm not sure which they enjoyed more... the popcorn & treats or the show! 
Next we went to my nephew Isaac's baptism. I can't believe he's old enough to be baptized, I remember the day he was born with all his crazy hair! He is such a good boy and a wonderful example to the rest of his cousins. I am so proud of him. It was neat to see him take such a big step in his life. 
After that we headed over to Dustin's Grandma & Grandpa Goodrich's house for Grandma's 76th Birthday Bash! They had a big party for her complete with a photo DVD show and scrapbook pages from each grand child. She is such a neat lady and I feel lucky to have known her for so long. I think the first official Goodrich party I went to was in 1997 and we've been going ever since. Grandma puts together some pretty sweet BBQ's, Christmas & Thanksgiving dinners and the most fun is the 'family reunion' that seems to happen every Sunday evening at their house. All of Dust's aunts & uncles live very cloese to Grandmas house. He was lucky enough to grow up seeing all of them, all of the time! 
You would think that would end our busy Saturday, but after that we headed back up to my sister Ashli's house where she gave Court little haircut and I got to spend some time holding my adorable baby niece, Grace! She got so big, so fast, but is just doll. We ended the night staying at my little sister's house. Lindy was kind enough to let us stay at her house this weekend and feed us breakfast!
I just love my family and Dustin's family so much and am so glad we live close enough to take a quick weekend trip up to see them all.

It sounds magical being able to see family so much. It makes living nearby so worth it.

What fun! I know when we're in town we hit the ground running, looks like you guys did that Saturday for sure. I'm sad I missed out on the shower and grandmas birthday bash, it looks like it was a blast. I know Grandma had a great time cause she told me all about it.
