Tonight I got to hold Mary Cate in my arms for the first time. She was so calm and peaceful as I sat there and rocked her. It was 30 minutes of heaven that I will never forget... what a feeling of love for my sweet little angel baby.

I can't even imagine what your family is going through right now. I am so excited that you got to hold your little angel. Keep positive and celebrate all the little triumphs.. You are a strong women. You can do this. We are thinking of you and your sweet family all the time. Heavenly Father sent this special spirit to your family because he new that no one could take care of her like you and Dustin can. We love you guys!!

Wow! That's awesome that they let you hold Mary Cate. You just have to beg long enough and the nurses will give in!
Stacie, I am so proud of you!! What a struggle it must have been for you. Your little baby girl is absolutely beautiful. Don't you think you should have spelled Cate with a "K" though? :) Keep smiling and know that I think of you all the time. You are so lucky that Heavenly Father sent you such a beautiful sweet spirit. He knows that you will be able to take care of sweet Mary better than any one else. We love you!!

Yea, there is nothing better! What a sweet moment that you will always remember.
Stacie,
I haven't seen you in years (you probably don't even remember me) but I'm a friend of your sisters; and was reading her post about you and your new little angel... and was so moved by the message of your posts, your husband, etc.
My prayers are with you, your baby and your entire family. While I can't imagine what you're going through, I wanted you to know how blessed I feel to read of the strength of your family, and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
