An artist at heart

Courtney is way into coloring right now. So a couple days ago I went and bought her some new crayons and a crayon box because our crayon collection was pretty weak. I guess I should've seen this one coming, but she decided to be an artist and use our wall as her canvas. She actually added to some previous artwork she had already done with a ballpoint pen on the walls. I can't quite figure out why she likes the walls instead of paper, but clearly I need to keep a better eye on her. Thanks to Kiki, we now have very colorful walls!


The other morning I was in my bathroom brushing my teeth. In walks Zack holding Mary Cate. Talk about freaking out! Trying to be "helpful", he had climbed up onto my bed, picked her up and walked right into my bathroom with her. After a talk about when he can & can't hold Mary, he loves to 'hold Mary standing up' when ever I'll let him. What a great big brother.


And these are just because my Dad keeps asking me to put more pictures of Mary Cate on our blog. I haven't taken many pictures lately because we don't really do much, but here is what I had from the past couple days.
I took MC to the doctor today for a weight check. She is bulkin' up big time! She now weighs a little over 7 pounds. Mary Cate has a GIANT umbilical hernia that just keeps getting bigger, so we are meeting with a surgeon tomorrow to see what he wants to do. This thing is not going to go away on its own. It is seriously huge, its pretty sad. Her pediatrician said she'll probably have to have surgery to fix it. So we'll see what the surgeon says tomorrow.
