Almost... but not quite!

Well we almost made it through the cold/cough season with out Mary Cate getting sick... ALMOST! I've pretty much been wiping snot off all three kids faces for the past few days. We took MC into the pulmonologist's office on Monday for her RSV shot she gets every 28 days. She started coughing over the weekend. I really wasn't too worried, but the doctor said she had some pretty good wheezing going on. So we started the standard coarse of nebulizer treatments and oral steroids. It's keeping me pretty busy, I counted today and she had 11 seperate doses of medications during her day today. I've been trying to figure out the best way to give her the breathing treatments (because I do them 4 times a day) and I think I've found the winner...
We started out with the standard hold her while she's awake. This one was a bit of a struggle, because she's got the back arch thing going and wiggles out of our arms and out of the mask.

The sleeping baby in the carseat was slightly more effective, but she woke up at the end and nap time ended much too soon!

The winner by far is forward facing in the Baby Bjorn. She can't really arch her back, and I have extra hands to keep her hands from moving the mask. Definitely the way to go!

I am SO sorry she is sick! There is NOTHING worse than that darn RSV. Talmage got it a couple months ago, and he fought that mask so hard, it actually made his little face bleed! Why wasn't I so smart as to try the Bjorn?!? Good Luck! I hope she gets feeling better soon!

Oh ya...
I just saw the "Snuggie" post and am laughing so hard. My kids think those look cool too... (Why is it any cooler than wearing a robe? I don't know! :-) I'm dreading the day they figure out how to make their own. What a cleaver little guy! Too cute!

Thank goodness your kids have nurse Stacie as a Mom. I'll make a mental note of your breathing treatment advice.
