"I hate first grade!"
I can't believe its that time of year again~ back to school baby! I always think of that commercial with the song "Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" in the background and parents running around with big smiles on their faces, giving eachother high fives etc. It makes me laugh and yet somehow is very true to what I'm feeling! Back to school gives my days much more routine and I enjoy that part. I do however miss the kids, especially Zack now that he's gone all day.
As you may have guessed from the title, Zack is not a huge fan of first grade, in fact he "hates it". He had quite the traumatic first week; between forgetting his lunch, to not quite understanding hot lunch, a trip to the nurses office and a total breakdown because he doesn't get home until "the middle of the night and has no time to play", he is still adjusting to the big change between kindergarten and first grade. Courtney, on the other hand, didn't skip a beat. She walked right onto the bus and had no problem at all. We met her at her school to meet her new teachers and she was doing her thing without any problems! She just goes with the flow :)

This week has been a little better for Zack, hopefully he'll get used to his new schedule and he'll learn to actually like first grade!

That cracks me up! I am So ready for school...Tomorrow Tommy starts kindergarten and he couldn't be more ready. So he hates the first grade... darn! It's a big adjustment for them to be gone all day at first, he'll love it soon. Did you get my message the other day? I can't wait to talk to you. Hope things are good,

p.s. kiks looks so darn cute and zack seems bigger already...i guess first grade does that to a boy!
Back-to-school is definitely bittersweet for us moms, isn't it? My little Wyatt has been SO tired + grumpy after his long 1st grade days-- it really is quite the adjustment! Good luck this year!
I wish you guys were here too! Court is such a brave cutie!! We hope Zack has a good year after all. It is a long day!
