"The Pee Bag"

I have to expand on the ever-amusing, laugh out loud story of my son and how he continues to show me every day that he is one real piece of work.

Shortly after he left for school, I got a message on my cell phone from the mom who drove carpool that day asking me if that was just lemonade that my son had in a ziplock bag. "Huh?" I thought, "what is she talking about?" She continued saying Zack and the other 2 boys in carpool were in the back seat and he was being super sly about showing his friends exactly what he'd brought to school. She heard the word pee and it made her worry.

I finished listening to the message and I was mortified. Did my son really take a ziplock bag of his pee to school? So I put my sick daughters in my car and drove them right over to Zack's school and pulled him out of class to get to the bottom of this.

After a short discussion, I discovered that yes, he'd decided to take a leak in a ziplock bag, stow it away in a pocket of his backpack where I never look and show his buddies what he'd done! WHAT WAS HE THINKING? Where did he get this awful idea? What was he going to do with it? I made him march back down to his classroom, bring me his backpack with the "pee bag" in it before his teacher could discover it, or worse, before it broke open all over the place (ewwww!) and throw it away.

He teared up a little bit while I was telling him I was very disappointed with his decision and that he should always choose the right and not do dumb things, but made sure he knew I always loved him. I made him promise to never pull a stunt like this again, gave him a hug and sent him back to class. He probably doesn't even know how I found out and I'd rather keep it that way (us mom's have eyes in the back of our heads!). And that my fellow readers, is the story of the infamous pee bag. Like my dear friend Cami told me to do, I enjoyed a nice Coke on the rocks after that one, heaven knows I needed it!

Stac, you are an awesome mom! Sounds like you have lots of patience and handled the pee bag very well. We too have had pee incidents... After about a week of smelling pee in our boys room they finally confessed to peeing in the trash can in there, I was so stinking mad I made them scrub the kitchen floor on their hands and knees. What is it with boys and pee anyway!??

That story is only funny, if your not the mom. This will be of those stories you tell at his mission farwell and laugh your heads off. Don't feel to bad, my niece sold her pee to the neighbor boy as lemonaide.
