Oh BLESSED day!

Once again, my awesome dad flew down to Vegas to drive me and the kids up to Salt Lake for the big appointment to get Will's cast off. The first night we got there my sister Lindy came over to my mom's house to visit with us and promptly took my kids to get monster ice cream cones! She is seriously the funnest aunt and loves my kids like they're her own. Giant smiles with giant cones!
LAST night is this cast. Clearly, he's not gonna miss it!
Pre-appointment x-ray, just to make sure this whole thing worked... it did!
And now, lets see those chubby legs!
cut...
turn...
pull...
okay, now pick him up!
Check out that cute bum!!!
Look who fits in his baby car seat... so happy to be free!
His first bath at aunt Ashli's house. All the way in the water and loving it!
I have to say, that this honestly was one of the most challenging experiences I've ever gone through. One day I'd be fine and the next I'd be completely depressed throwing myself a pity party. About 2/3 the way through the whole thing my visiting teachers came over to see me and shared a message with me about finding happiness everyday (President Uchdorf's conference talk from October). From then on I really changed my attitude and appreciated this for what it was. Temporary, healing, and amazing... our baby is going to be able to walk, run and jump without any problems and THAT is what I need to think about. All the appointments, surgeries and tears are only to better William and me.
