Kiki's 8th Birthday weekend!
I truly can't believe this sweetest girl is 8 years old! I very vividly remember the day she was born! It was raining in Dallas that morning. It was just a couple of weeks, maybe a month after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Gulf Coast. I had been watching the news coverage closely because I was a huge whale and had no friends since we had only been in Texas for a month or two. Because she had been sitting breech most of my pregnancy, I knew I was going to have a scheduled C-section. I was a bit nervous about it, but had Dustin by my side the whole time to make me feel better. Courtney had a few complications after she was born and spent a little more than a day in the NICU, but we were able to take her home with us and she was absolutely beautiful and perfect! She has always had the sweetest most peaceful countenance about her since the day she was born! I feel blessed every day that I was chosen to be her mother. Heavenly Father must have some serious faith in me!
Lucky us got all 4 grandparents here for her big day. It started out at Mary's soccer game.
The she went birthday shopping with Gramma Goodrich and then we had promised her weeks before her birthday that she and her BFF Sadie could go to the pumpkin patch. They all had a great time there!
And then when the boys were all at the priesthood session, I took Kiki to get her baptism pictures taken. My sweet sister Lindy let us borrow Ellie's beautiful dress so I scheduled to get some pics done. She is a beautiful little gal isn't she?!
The next morning, her actual birthday, she opened her presents, we ate a bunch of scones, watched conference and then hugged and kissed all of our visitors goodbye!
delicious Gramma Goodrich cake!
Happy Birthday to this awesome girl!
