13th Anniversary weekend getaway!

For our anniversary weekend, we went to Dana Point, CA and stayed at the St. Regis! It was AWESOME!! We had such a great time talking, eating and just spending time together with each other.  Our weekend started off on Thursday. After we checked into our room, we explored the hotel a little bit and then we went to dinner at Five Guys and went and saw Divergent and this super swanky movie theater! It had leather reclining seats and buttons to push if you wanted to order food, popcorn, drinks, whatever! So nice!

When we got back to our hotel room, Dustin had arranged for rose petals and sparking cider to be delivered. It was so sweet and thoughtful of him!

 

We went and got massages the next day and had lunch down at the marina. The best french dipped sandwich EVER! We just ran on our own schedule and didn't really have anywhere to be or anyone to take care of. It was a nice little break! Here we are at dinner on Friday night. We ate at the hotel. I had a delicious filet and Dustin had salmon. Yum!

Saturday morning we thought we'd try out whale watching. It was a great idea in theory, but we thought with a pill and a bracelet somehow Dustin wouldn't get sea sick... boy were we wrong! Poor guy spent an hour and 40 minutes of the 2 hour trip in the bathroom puking, sweating and just feeling AWFUL! I felt sooo bad for him. On the plus side, I did see 2 California gray whales!

Here he is sleeping it off back at the hotel. He continued to puke the entire ride home and once we got back to the room. Poor guy...

While he was sleeping it off, I walked around the hotel grounds, snapped a few pics so I wouldn't forget how beautiful it was there and how lucky I was to be staying there!

I also hit up the spa for another massage. It was heavenly!

I am so lucky to have Dustin as my eternal companion. He is amazing, thoughtful, handsome, kind, giving and so loving towards me and our kids! I couldn't ask for a better guy and have always considered myself lucky in love!
