So we went to a genetics specialist today for Courtney. Our pediatrician wanted to make sure she wasn't overlooking some sort of disorder with everything Court has gone through. The genetics doctor we went to today is pretty sure she has something called Sotos Syndrome. I put the link on if you want to read a little bit about it. She seems pretty darn normal to me, but some of things she has are consistent with this syndrome and it all makes sense now. The doctor said her case isn't mild, but its not extreme either, she's about middle of the road. Courntey had some bloodwork done with a chromosomal workup and a bone age x-ray and they will let us know the results in the next couple of weeks. Now that we have a diagnosis that brings together everything she has, I feel good about being able to move forward and knowing the potential hurdles we may have in the future. I am just grateful Heavenly Father sent this special little angel, Courtney to us. I love her and Zack so much and so blessed to be their mom.
