She's just gotten too big!
First day of school!
Well, my little Kiki girl started school this week. She was accepted into the early childhood pre-school program that is run through the Clark County School District here. It has been a little bit of an adjustment for her, but I think she likes it. When ever we ask her what she did at school today she'll either say "backpack" or "mat time" (they sit on mats during circle time). But her nice teachers tell me she's doing great for her first week adjusting to a new routine.
Right after she got to her classroom on her first day. This is one of her teachers helping her sit down for circle time!
Because Courtney's school is at the exact same time as Zack's, she has to take the bus because I can't drive both of them to and from with out one of them being late. They couldn't start the bus for her until today, so today was her first day taking the BUS! AHHHhhh... I was so nervous to put her on the bus this morning. Her bus driver was very kind and helped her into her car seat thingy and off they went. I may be just a bit neurotic, but I followed the bus the whole way to school! I had to know where she'd be driving around to every morning. After she dropped her off at the school and her teacher helped her off the bus, the driver (Tina is her name!) called me and told me that Courtney did great and that she wasn't too nervous once they got going.
Here she is checking out the bus right after I put her on. She was not quite sure about it at first, in fact she was crying, which only made it harder for me to put her on there!
Once she got all buckled in!
Here is her bus with the stalker mom following it!
So that is that... my sweet little girl in now going to school. I can't believe how fast she's grown up. These pictures are for her aunt Lindy, who I think was just about as concerned about her riding the bus as I was!

Stacie, I remember when Ashlee started to take the bus for preschool too. I was freaking out just like you. But then it was good after that and Ashlee really enjoyed her bus because Lexi and Hanna didn't get to go on it and it was just for her. She had the neighbor kids all jealous that she got to go on it and they only had their mom to take them to school. The nice thing for me was when Nik was born, I didn't have to leave the house while he was sleeping because the bus picking her up. Miss you guys! I hope you guys are coming up for the holidays! I want to meet Mary.
She is such a big girl. You are so not a stalker mom,I think all of us woulddo the same thing. I am so sad I didn't get to see you while I was in Las Vegas. It was crazy and we ended up driving backand forth to vegas and St George.
